Ralphs and Vons 1/23-1/29

I'm just going to say it - this week sucks compared to last week. But I guess you can't expect to get hundreds of dollars of free stuff every week. I might just sit this week out unless there are some spectacular deals with this upcoming Sunday's coupons (which I'm not anticipating). So here goes.

Ralphs:

Fuze Slenderize drinks are still $1 so FREE with the .50 printable coupon doubled.
Cattlemen's BBQ sauce is $1.50 so FREE with the .75 coupon doubled.
Met RX Protein Plus and Big 100 bars are still 2/$3 so FREE with the $2/2 coupon doubled.
Muir Glen organic canned tomatoes are still $1.50 so FREE with the .75 or $1 coupon doubled.
Johnson's Buddies bar is regular priced at .99 so that is always FREE with the $1 coupon. No doubling required (although if you are lucky they will double it and you will get overage!)
Reeses Whipps are still .33 so 2/.33 with the BOGO coupon.

I also found a package of Alouette spreadable cheese marked down to .99 (because the expiration date was near). I had a .75 coupon so that was FREE.

My total OOP was .46.

Vons:

No Yolk noodles are $1 so FREE with .50 coupon doubled. (This coupon says Do Not Double so YMMV.)
Barilla Pasta Plus spaghetti is .99 so FREE with the $1/2 coupon doubled. (Please note: ONLY the spaghetti is .99, the other varieties are priced higher but the coupon is still valid on them if you don't want spaghetti.)
Eating Right vitamin water is still $1 so FREE with the $1 coupon.
Fuze Slenderize drinks are still $1 so FREE with the .50 printable coupon doubled.
Colgate Luminous Mint Twist toothpaste is Reduced To Clear at $1.79 so FREE with the $1 coupon doubled.
Aquafresh Extreme Clean toothpaste is Reduced To Clear at $2.49 so FREE with the $1.50 coupon doubled.
Halls cough drops $1 so FREE with the $1/2 coupon doubled.

My total OOP was .34

OMG! Could this man get any hotter?

DROOL!!!!

The Worst Dinner Ever...

Or close to it. So this new buffet opened called Buffet America. I should have known by the name that it would be cheesy but what can I say? I'm a sucker for buffets. So against my better judgement, I took the kids to eat there tonight. OMG, it was awful! There wasn't much selection and what there was ranged from totally bland to downright nasty. And to top it off, when I called to get the prices they quoted me the lunch prices. Ummm, it was 4:30 in the afternoon. Why would I want the lunch prices? So it ended up costing several dollars more than I was expecting it to. Which, to a cheapskate like me, is a big deal! We could have gone to Chili's (my fave!) and had yummy food for about the same price. :( Or we could have stayed home and had frozen pizza for free and it would have tasted better than that stuff they called food at that restaurant. Oh well, live and learn.

And to add insult to injury, when we got home we realized that my 5 year old had left his jacket there. So I had to go all the way back, in the rain no less, to get his jacket. Luckily they still had it. This just reinforces my feelings that we just should have stayed home.

Is it bedtime yet?

Coupons for 1/27/08

Here is a list of the coupons that will be in the newspaper on Sunday, January 27. The coupons and values will vary depending on what part of the country you are in but this gives you an idea of what is coming.

Speaking of Myspace...

I love new friends! If you want to be my friend, here's my page: myspace.com/kristineinca

Vegas Here I Come!

I can't wait! In exactly 43 days I will be on my way to Vegas, baby! Woohoo! I am going with my good friend and fellow Rascal Flatts fanatic, Belle, to see RF, of course. (Why else would I go there?) Surely not to gamble or party, lol! I will be spending 4 days and 3 glorious kid-free nights in Vegas, culminating with the Rascal Flatts show on March 8th. Unfortunately, will not be able to meet them for a 4th time (at least not officially *wink*) since I am not eligible for a meet and greet until July.

For those of you that don't know, I have had the pleasure of meeting Rascal Flatts 3 times - in November 2005 in Salt Lake City, in July 2006 in San Diego and in September 2007 in San Diego. I have been to 6 concerts (San Diego, Salt Lake City, San Diego, Las Vegas, San Diego and San Bernadino), been to a taping of the Jimmy Kimmel Show and attended a private concert that was aired on Yahoo. I guess you can say I'm a fanatic, lol.

Here are my meet and greet pics. Betcha can't tell which Flatt is my favorite :)

If you don't know who Rascal Flatts are and want to check them out, here is their official website: http://www.rascalflatts.com/home2.php and their myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/rascalflatts.

My New Blog!

I'm new to this whole blogging thing. I am going to attempt to keep track of my shopping adventures here, as well as things going on in my every day life.

As for today, I'm babysitting so I'm not going anywhere. What an exciting start to my blog! I'm currently helping my 5 year old son with his homework. What fun!

I did have some great shopping trips this weekend so I guess I can post those to give you a taste of what this blog will be like. So here goes.

A little backstory: I mainly shop at two grocery stores - Ralphs and Vons. Both stores double coupons up to and including $1. But the catch is they will only double one like coupon per transaction. So this means I spend my day traveling to the various stores in the area so that I can use up all my coupons and get as many deals as I can. Have I lost you yet? I hope not!

My Sunday started at Vons. Vons was running an awesome promo where you got an instant $10 off of your total when you purchased 10 items from a long list of participating items. When coupons were combined with this promo, it made for lots of free goodies! (In my scenarios below, the items with an * next to them are the ones that were included in the promo.)
